June 7, 2008 Elmira River Fest 2008: 11 mile community paddle ending at a grand festival with food, bands, vendors, demonstrations and activities for all ages!

River Fest is a free community event, hosted by Near Westside Neighborhood Association Incorporated, that enables the community to be close to and even on the river to experience its natural beuty and charm. Over time, we all expect River Fest to be a signature enent in scope and size for the community.

In the morning hours starts the paddle. Starting from Botchers Landing in Big Flats New York to Elmira NY's Grove Street Boat launch
Walnut Steeet Bridge in Elmira
The Hibbard Dam is located just after the Walnut Street Bridge on the East Side. The portage will be on the right side or starboard.
